I am currently a student at University of Colorado at Denver majoring in Visual Arts with an Emphasis in Drawing and hope to declare a double major in International Studies. I work as an assistant instructor at my karate dojo (I have practiced karate since age 3 under my parents) and live in Denver, CO.

It is my belief that the best art is made from personal experience. That way the intimacy between the artist and their work is amplified as well as the art being a more genuine portrayal of the artist's thoughts. I relate this to my own work in that much of my art centers on my observations and experiences of being a Japanese-American. I frequently use children in my portraiture as well as taking commissions.
